Amazing Creations!!

There were some amazing things created today both using play dough and sand.

Toy Room Fun

One of the favourite rooms at Susan's is the toy room. This room has many activities for the children to participate in - games, puzzles - various items to be played with - toys, blocks, building materials, dress-up, animals, etc., and a chalkboard wall for drawing and writing. The imagination and creativity that takes place in this room is AMAZING!!!!

Puzzle Time

We got some new puzzles that were a bit more challenging for the older children. They were quite excited when the boxes were open and a few of the pieces were stuck together. :)

Happy Birthday!!

We celebrated a birthday at Susan's today!! There was singing, yummy cupcakes and even a little gift. Happy Birthday!! :)

A Rainy Day

It was a rainy day so we did some fun activities inside.

Raindrops are Falling

Even though it was a rainy day, we didn't want to stay cooped up indoors. So we donned our jackets and hats and headed out for a quick walk around the block to get fresh air and breathe in the wonderful smells that come just after a rain.

Trying New Things

We tried a new juice flavour (combination of a couple) today at last snack time. Some of us thought it wasn't "too bad", while others were kind of unsure about it.

Fun & Fresh Air

The weather was beautiful today so, equipped with sunscreen and bug spray, we headed outdoors and spent much of our afternoon with outdoor creative play and games.

"V" day

The children this morning made a lovely V is for vegetables craft.

Painting

Later this afternoon we got out our paintbrushes, paint and paper and tapped into our creative sides and expressed ourselves through art.

Storytime

We had a special reader for storytime today!

Building & Creating

We started the morning with building and creating different structures and items using blocks and Zaks.

Lunch Time

The children get a variety of wonderful, nutritious meals!

Library Visit

For the second week in a row we went to the library to participate in the programs there.  We love the songs, stories and activities they set up for us.

Quiet Time

After our nap/quiet time, we engage in quiet activities until afternoon snack and while we wait for everyone to rejoin us from their naps.

Enjoying Snacks

Snack time is a fun time!!  We may not always be the neatest but we sure do a good job of eating our food ourselves and getting most of it in our bellies.

Play Structure

Mike built us an AWESOME play structure that has a rock wall, ladder, slide, monkey bars and swings.  We all enjoy playing on it daily!!

Yorkton Fair

When the fair was in town, those of us at daycare that day went and spent time at the petting zoo.  The lady was very nice and we got to pet many different animals (including a snake!).

Storytime

Every day we have storytime and also have time to just read books on our own.  We learn a great deal from books and enjoy listening to stories and making up our own based on the pictures.

Water, Water, Water

On hot days, the kids quite enjoy a swim in the pool and playing in the water table.  It definitely keeps us cool and we are sure to wear A LOT of sunscreen.

Lovin' the Outdoors

The children LOVE playing outdoors - whether in the sandbox, on cars, or down the board walk.  The fresh air is also very good for us all.

Making Crafts

We enjoy doing learning activities and making crafts, especially toilet paper roll animals and paper bag puppets!  You should see our excitement when we can open and close the bags ourselves. :)
