Vegetables Part 1
The last couple of weeks with harvest occurring in our province we have been discussing with the kids things that grow that we eat. Cue two weeks of vegetables! Can you believe that we love vegetables so much we created two blog posts worth of crafts? To be honest I believe the kids enjoyed making the vegetables more than if I tried to feed said vegetable to them. Hope you enjoy!

Bookworms!!
Summer is over! School has begun! So at Susan's with the departure of kidlets to school we have honoured them by creating back to school inspired crafts. We started with apples, which I wasn't able or should I say I wasn't apple to grab the kids long enough to snap a picture, so this blog post consists of our next craft... BOOKWORMS!! We love to read at Susan's so a craft with a book title specifically tailored (by yours truly) for each kid held by an adorable worm was a great way to start us off with a new blogpost for the fall. I hope this inspires you to cuddle up with a great book this time of year!

Happy Father's Day!!
This Father's Day I was able to keep up with creating crafts with the kids for their dear ol' Dad and slowing them down long enough to take a picture. The kids were very excited to make something especially for Dad! Sorry those wonderful Moms out there I was not able to take pictures of your special Mother's Day crafts. I was lucky enough to have some fantastic Moms (and one Dad) grab a camera and take a picture of the spectacle we sent home for the kids and their Fathers. Thanks again ladies and gent you know who you are!

Wiggly Jiggly Bugs!
As the kids at the daycare get older there are more and more things that they are discovering with each season. This spring and almost summer we are now discovering all kinds of bugs. To keep in this theme of discovery we created our own bugs: caterpillars (made from paper chains) and earthworms (made of fruit o's)! I definitely enjoyed playing with our creations as opposed to the real tent caterpillars which have been invading our yard!

What do you see?
This time of year brings many things, one of which is small and yellow. Depending on who you ask, you might get a very different answer. One might say it's a weed, one "the only flower I'm allowed to pick!" and another might see a wish. What do you see? Be it a weed or a wish?

Pirates on the High Seas!
On the second week with Susan away, I decided to do a theme that I love: PIRATES! And yes I did continue on with another lick and stick sticker craft. It feels so good to be bad! I was again very fortunate to have help for a couple of days this week which came in the form of a daycare Mom and Aunt. These ladies definitely upped our Pirate swagger! Thanks again Pirate Ladies!

While Susan's Away!
At the beginning of April we had an addition to our family; a niece for me and a granddaughter for Susan! This meant that Susan went away and you know what they say: when the cat's away the mice will do spring flower crafts! I even made sure to incorporate the dreaded lick and stick stickers again! I was also very fortunate to have an older sibling of one of the daycare kids for a few days which I was extremely grateful for!

Happy Belated Easter!
It has happened again! I have failed to blog as continually as I hoped I would. Well I am making up for it right now. Happy Belated Easter! March and April were a very busy time this year which aided in my neglect. So what is one thing you think about when it comes to Easter? I know if you ask the kidlets they all say Candy! I was looking forward to incorporating a lick and stick sticker into one of our crafts (to Susan's woe) and I thought that this would be the best time! Hope you enjoy!

Oh the Places We Will Go!
My apologies on the lengthy hiatus between blog posts; it is entirely my fault. The last time we left you was prior to Christmas and our family Italian Christmas Adventures! We had a great time and upon our return got so busy trying to get back in the swing of things that I have sadly neglected blogging. But I am back with a lot of fun and a lot of catching up to do! Here is one of the many things we have been up to since my lack of blogging. GREY ELEPHANT HEADBANDS! I love any craft which allows the kids to sport a cute hat! The whole time we were creating this craft I couldn't help but hum Colonial Hathi's March from Jungle Book. So please hum along while you see our happy elephant smiles!
